WARNING ARE YOU DIABETIC IF SO READ ON AND IF NOT STILL SHARE WITH YOUR FRIENDS CHECK ALL HAND WASHES

It’s a normal practice to wash hand when testing sugar levels each day using hand wash is a normal everyday thing but be warned. I purchased this hand wash for everyone in my household looked ok and thought it smelled nice and is aimed at kids.

Normally people check labels if they have known allergies but you would never check a product for sugar unless you were eating it stated to me by a cussons customer services agent it contains glucose

It doesn’t contain glucose at all. The ingredients are clearly shown. Why would they warn you it contains glucose when it doesn’t?
Glycerin is not glucose. It is derived from fatty acids found abundantly is animals (including humans) and plants. It isn’t just Carex hand-wash that it’s used in, but plenty of handwashes as well as cough syrups, elixirs and expectorants, toothpaste, mouthwashes, skin care products, shaving cream, hair care products, soaps, and water-based personal lubricants. Heck even electronic cigarette vape liquid can be 50% glycerin derived from plants.
While it may be possible for glycerin to affect prick tests, this mis-information being spread about handwashes is close to being fake news.
The correct statement to make is that to take care to when washing your hands to fully rinse and dry them after using hand-wash.

    • Totally agree. On her original post she claimed it was the Tetrasodium Glutamate that was the Glucose.

  • I suspect the author confused the very sweet taste of glycerine with that of glucose. Glycerine is used in things like soda gun syrups and as an actual sweetener in foodstuffs and drinks. It’s a polyol (confusingly also known as a sugar alcohol) and not a sugar.
