Can I have a pp please.

My 6 year old daughter has been telling white lies now for about 6 months….. she has always been corrected and told right from wrong but they have been escalating recently. Today she told her school teacher that her 16 year old step brother hits her (her step brother only visits every 6 weeks). After speaking with my daughter she admitted she was lieing. I’m at my witts end as to what to do to get her to stop before someone gets in trouble. She has a half brother who is 4 months old so I am thinking this could be a jealousy thing? Does anyone have any advice or how I can tackle this? She doesn’t seem to understand the severity of the lie she has told today 😞 TIA x
