Can I have a pp please? My son is 13 very low self esteem and really wants to be a cool kid. He has a few problems with his general school, needs extra help etc. He’s really got it into his head that he wants a girlfriend and he’s trying desperately hard to get one. He thinks he’s ugly and a nerd. I love him to bits and hate seeing him so sad. All his peers have had girlfriends he has never had a girlfriend ever. He is starting to think something is wrong with him. I’ve done my best to reassure him he isn’t ugly and he’s a true gentleman. But he says I have to say these things as km his mum. Any ideas on words of encouragement? I feel so sorry for him. He’s not ugly and he isn’t a nerd. He has very few friends he can trust. He’s now got it in his head if he misbehaves he will get more popular! I know hormones and peer pressure are a horrid thing but any ideas how I can point him in the right direction. No nasty comments please this really is upsetting him
