Can i have a ppp? Has anyone else had no patience and been extremely angry after having a baby? After my first i was so calm and had all the patience in the world! Theres a small age gap but this time i started getting anxiety attacks half way through pregnancy, after the birth i just lost all patience for anything, crying, tantrums, even my partner can do the smallest thing by mistake and i fly off the handle in rage. I HATE being like it and i’ve also turned into a shouty mom 😭 i get that mad at everything i get regular head aches and jaw ache from constantly biting down. I’ve looked at PPD but dont think its that as i don’t really feel down? I did cry quite a bit the first couple of months but i think it was due to tiredness! Anyone else go through this and what helped? 😫😫

  • You need to go to your GP you may have a mental illness giving birth can trigger that illness and make you feel worse get an appointment ASAP after my first baby I had terrible anxiety and pnd after my second baby I was manic then depressed I was later diagnosed with bpd and bipolar please get yourself seen and don’t put yourself down you’ve recognised there’s problem and you have reached out good luck

  • I have experienced the same and my contraception was found to be the cause! Never affected me before but as soon as I went back on it after giving birth I was a different person. So angry and irritable. Within a few days of coming off it I felt normal again. This happened with all contraception methods so my partner had to get a vasectomy x

  • Yeah and 4 years later I still feel like that. I can never get an appointment at the doctors so I feel this is me now…

  • I think it sounds VERY much like postnatal depression! By what you are describing you are down but you are masking it with anger please go and seek help from your gp or Health Visitor. I hate to say but pnd won’t get better on its own. You’ve made the first brace step realising your struggling. X
