Can I have a ppp, my daughter is 6 years old and she doesn’t play with toys at all! She would rather clean the house constant all day every day when she’s not at school, she has a very short temper where the slightest thing will send her into a tantrum and she will literally smash her room up banging on walls kicking doors I have tried everything to stop her but as she doesn’t play with toys I can’t take anything away from her ? Every night she has to bring all her teddies down cover pillows and lie on the couch, she has to do the same thing every day or she gets very upset. Is this normal ladies ? X

  • She sounds like she has OCD, this can cause temper tantrums, she may need therapy for it. Take her to your gp and demand a referral to cahms, they will assess her and get the right treatment for her and support for you both. She may need play therapy too to help her counteract the need to clean and play more, although it’s good she does clean lol she’s only 6 and should be playing more to develop her imagination and social development. She’s probably really struggling. Also get teachers to observe her in class too. Good luck.

  • I would say sounds more like autism then ocd, I have ocd and have family with autism and the symptoms seem more along the lines of autism, but definitely write them down and go to the gp as none of us can say for certain
