My husband and I have decided to split after ten years if marriage the problem is he hasn’t anywhere to go so has been staying on sofa , can I put a claim in for housing benefit and stuff now before he officially moves obviously I will tell them the situation but I’ve registered disabled and my husband works I only claim pip and that’s not enough to pay my rent and live when he leaves

You can for now. But seeing as your both living under the same roof they wont put you straight onto single payments. I had this when my sons dad and i separated but lived in the same house. I was classed as single parenting but while he lived there i still had to report his earnings ect. It was many years ago but they called it separated under one roof.
Yes but to b on safe side dnt tell them he is still there has the claim will nt go trough because ur still together in there eyes
