Can I have a private post please?

My son was born with a hole on his skin at the bottom of his back. It’s in the middle. The doctors said that he may not be able to walk because of it & he may have to have an operation. We were sent for a scan & then an MRI. The MRI showed that underneath the hole there was bone that wasn’t connected to his spine & nerves. 10 months on.. he’s exceeded expectations, he can walk holding on to things, he’s been crawling since 6 months, he’s pulling himself up, he can move extremely well! However, today we had a check up with the consultant & he said he’s worried because something is preventing the baby’s skin from closing up & he may have to have an op to close it. Me & my partner are going out of our minds as you can imagine. We are just wondering if anyone has been through this. There is a photo in the comments.
