Can i request an anonymous post please,
My mother in law found out she may have cancer after something being found on her CT scan (shes had cancer before) Shes been refered to a specialist hospital in the next country, weve always had a grate relationship before i got with her son and she was the happiest lady alive when we got into a relationship, She has always classed me as the daughter she never had, And she “was” like a 1st mother to me ,However after my partners ex told some lies to her regarding me it unfortunatly pulled us apart, we both said horrible things, Around a year after we left it behind and started talking again, But were no were near as close as we used to be and theres still tension, (i invited her for christmas but didnt come due to illness) we dont speak much and i find shes jelious of my relationship with her son (hes always been a mummys boy) and all his relationships have failed,… Now i no were not as close however i want to support her and be there for her in whatever way i can possible, regardless of our history, I’m the only female in her life (shes sons) and i want her to no im here if she needs me,…My problem is i dont want her to think im here just because of pitty due to this diagnosis,
(She is a typical elderly ladie with her out spoken opinions lol)
How would others approach the situation….
