Could I get a pm please? I need some advice on my current housing situation, I have 2 boys one of which has ASD. We live in a tiny 2 bed house and since my baby has been born the living situation has become strenuous on my eldest son. He’s not sleeping, he’s having met downs everyday. Bed time is a struggle as the baby is now in his room my son is finding it hard to accept the change. We aren’t allowed any of the babies things in the room other than the cot and even that has caused a massive strain. I find myself crying everyday because it’s all too much and it’s tearing us apart as a family.
I’ve been trying my best for months on home exchange but no one seems to want to down size, I applied to our local council and they put us in a low band but there was no where on the form to state my son’s needs so I think that’s why we were so low. Is there anything I can do to speed it up? It’s having such an impact on my son’s health and well being. Son with ASD is 8. Tia xx
