Could I get a private post please
So my fiancé just turned to me saying I’m killing his love for me because our house is such a mess.
Our house isn’t a mess it’s lived in, we have a toddler who loves to run around with toys everywhere and when they go for a nap I clean everything away. Dinner is already ready for my fiancé when he gets home at dinner time. When our child plays in an evening the house does become a mess of toys but again once in bed I’ve cleaned everywhere.
I Hoover daily, the kitchen is always clear except the other day when I was very ill and could barely move without being sick. My mother took our child because he refused to take time off to help me but he will drop work like the drop of a hat for anyone else but not me and our child.
We’ve recently had our kitchen Redone so everything was moved around but still tidy as we had the room locked and the builders used the back gate and door to enter plus had the toilet in the utility which meant no dust or mess came through the house which was great.
I’ve started working again the last 2 months only a few days a week but the rest of the time I’m home, the house is always tidy the night before I go to work so I don’t get how I’m killing his love for me just because our child makes a mess with their toys. For crying out loud our child is 2! Of course there will be a mess of toys but it’s always cleared away.
Right now I’m hurt he’s making out a messy person which I’m not but I’m not someone who’s OCD like his parents are. So he’s grown up with everything in a specific place and I’m not like that so to him he’s said I live a pig.
Right now I’m ready to take our child who is napping and leaving but I don’t know if that is an over reaction 😔
What would you ladies do? He’s never lifted a finger and doesn’t know how the washing machine works. And he expects me to do everything but if I take our daughter out then he has a go because the dishwasher hasn’t been emptied even though it had just been put on before I headed out!
