Could I have a private post please? Sorry for long post. I have two children by two different fathers. My eldest dad was physically abusive during our relationship of 5 years, he’s been arrested twice for things. But we now get on extremely well. My youngest’s dad has been mentally abusive since we broke up 11 months ago with one physical incident. His contact with our child is extremely sporadic as he tries to pop in and out of our son’s life when he feels like it. So due to the incidents in the past, contact issues surrounding him and him refusing to cooperate with social services my children are going on child in need. My youngest’s dad’s father (my child’s grandfather) sent someone to mine and my children’s home to threaten me and “get a message across” in his own words. So social services are helping me to move out of the borough by referring me for a transfer through the local authority. My health visitor is also writing me a support letter on her own back due to her seeing the effects of the situation on myself as well as the kids. Has anyone been put forward for a transfer under similar circumstances and how long did it take you to get moved?
