Could I have pp please?

I was just wondering if anybody could help me or have any experience with changing their child’s name on their passport?

I have a 6 year old who hasn’t seen her ‘dad’ for years, don’t have a clue where he is, he’s a vile waste of space, lots of background we don’t need to go in to but I applied to deed poll to change her last name to mine and my husbands now, she wanted to be the same as me her step dad and her sibling so we applied they asked for a cover letter explaining about the situation and they agreed to change it as their is no where abouts for him.

The passport office advice line, have said they won’t change it without his consent, he is on the passport but don’t know he’s where abouts for a long time and haven’t heard from him years, so that isn’t possible 😞 he was never on he passport, because it had to include an address for him.

My husband and I both have parental responsibility for my daughter.

Any help or advice would be great? Xxx
