Feel like the worst mum ever my son is 11 and I found out yesterday that he is bleeding when going for a poo I only found out because I went to the toilet after he had just been and saw blood on the tissue that got left in the toilet he told me it was the first time but also told me he was just wiping really hard to make sure he was clean so I explained he needs to take it easy and if it happens again to tell me well he has just told me it has happened lots of times for weeks and didn’t think it mattered and has just done the same just now I have rang the doctors and they have told me to ring bk tomorrow to try and get a appointment all I want to do is cry as I feel l should of known but I know that it would be impossible to know I am so scared but not showing my son as don’t want to worry him sorry about the long post he doesn’t want to to tell anyone but needed to get it of my chest

I wouldn’t worry to much at the moment hun when my eldest was about the same age as your son (he’s nearly 25 now) he was like your son and it turned out he had polyps up there a simple little op about 20 mins to take them away and he’s never had them back since xx
