Hello, can i have i have a PPP? Im 22 weeks pregnant and caught threadworms from my daughter over 8 weeks ago and have tried following the strictest of hygene steps but still have the worms and it is really starting to get me down now. I really cant carry on like this for another 18 weeks. I visited the doctor today and he said he can give me a prescription for mebendazole, however it is upto me and my own risk as to whether or not I take it. Studies have shown it can have a tiny chance of harming a fetus during the first trimester, but there are no studies to show any proven harm in second trimester…….So basically, i’d just like to hear from anyone who has been in the same situation or from anyone who has taken the medication in second trimester? Thanks in advance.
