Hello, could I have a pp please,
My 12month daughter has a bad cough which has been ongoing for a while now this week she has now got temperature and is sick if she eats or drinks anything, we went to the doctors this morning the doctor seemed really uninterested he checked her chest which he said was fine but said the cough is coming from the throat and prescribed her ‘prednisolone’ I then had to ask him to please check her temp, ears and throat (didn’t expect to have to ask the doctor to do this) so I have read the side effects of ‘prednisolone’ and 5 in 100 children/adults develop mental health problems from taking this. I am now concerned to give my baby these. Any advice?

I’ve been given that last night too as I went to hospital with bad chest pains and a cough while struggling to breathe…the only other thing they did for me was give me medicine through a nebulizer. It looks like I’ll be going in again tonight as my chest is still hurting. Hope your little one gets better soon xx
