Hello, ppp

So, my baby is only six months old but quite physically developed. He’s the length and weight of a one year old. He already has two lower front teeth. It was fine when they first popped though about a month ago, but now they’re really sharp and he’s started bitinng during feeds. Both nipples are painful. One is leaving blood spots on the breast pads. I can hardly face feeding him on that side. I’m consciously avoiding feeding him when it is on that side. He’s on solids too now, so I’m not starving him or anything. But he is still rooting and wanting to feed.
I’ve googled it and asked for advice. I’ve tried using nipple sheilds. I stop feeding him when he bites and tell him no, but he’s too young to understand.
I want to keep feeding him. I fed his brother up to one year. I don’t know what to do.

  • Have you tried expressing your milk and feed him with a bottle to give your nipples time to heal then try him on breast again once better , I had same problem with my daughter and had too do this , also have you tried nipple cream for the pain x
