Hey hun could I have a private post please, my 3 year old daughter is skinny. Some people wonder if I feed her or not. She doesn’t eat well. I regulary prepare food for her but she refuses to eat. She will literally only eat a little bit and then say she is full. She is very energetic. People say she looks malnourished. My family even joke about it. It upsets me so much, because I give her food, but she refuses to eat properly. My GP was useless. He said it’s normal, but I don’t believe it. I don’t know how I can get her to eat. I would like to get some advice from mum’s who have been through this stage with their kids

  • My 4 year old is the same. Her bmi is 0! She’s a picker rather than a sit down for a big meal kind of girl so I try to offer her snacks in between meals like bananas, cereal bars, etc and then give her a small portion at meal times to make sure she eats- if I give her too much she won’t eat it. She eats much better at nursery or her friend’s houses when she’s with other kids who eat!

  • My daughter is sooooo skinny! She is 9 and finding clothes to fit her is a struggle😕 she eats like a bird and is on the underweight section for her height. It stresses me out to no end BUT she is healthy, energetic and most importantly happy. I am coming to terms that she is just going to be very tall and slender lol x

  • My theory was with my kids was as long as I kept offering them food at meal times etc then there not much else I can do , a child won’t starve there self’s and generally they will eat when hungry so as long as food was available they did start to eat xxx
