Hi could I have a private post please,

I’m 26 and I never felt like I found my perfect career, although I have a good career it was never my first choice, infact I never really had a dream job in mind at any point in my life. I’m sure people can relate. Well it suddenly dawned on me whilst watching a programme that I would like to be involved in working with people who have alcohol issues/drug addiction. This is a subject very close to my heart as sadly a few old school friends have died through alcohol/drugs and unfortunately my ex partner went on to become a heroin addict. So I have always been against drugs. Can anyone point me in the right direction to get into this line of work, do I need to go to uni etc? I have never taken any drugs and have no criminal record if that helps. I am happy to volunteer but I don’t know how I find a place. Thanks x
