Hi girls can I have a PP please? It’s a long and emotional one for me..
My sons father has just decided to go travelling for six weeks.. just up and go.
We don’t agree on this at all, I have said to him that he is a grown man with responsibilities and can’t just pick up and leave his son for six weeks but his words were “well I don’t get holidays so I’m going”.
He’s useless.. when he is here he doesn’t pick him up on time, he has him four days a month if my son isn’t sick and if he is he refuses to take him, he calls me every name under the sun, I’m a gold digger because the payment dates change every month so I have to ask when it is going to be in.. and now he’s gone away for six weeks.
This has really affected my son, he doesn’t speak about him anymore, asks why Daddy leaves him, says he’s not coming back, he wants to stay home with me, keeps having dreams that I’ve left him…
I don’t know what to do ladies.. if you were me what would you do? What do I do?

  • I’d be honest with your son without saying anything negative about his father. Let him know it was his father’s choice and will be back after 6 weeks. Reassure him your not going anywhere and u will always be there. It’s hard to watch them upset but the older they get the more he will realise u was there. Sounds like he doesn’t see him much already. Sad really I don’t know how a patent can go weeks without seeing their child.
