Hi I’m just looking for advice regarding my step son. He visits us once a month. There’s no fixed time, its as and when his mum pleases as She controls it all and basically uses him as a weapon (if my partner or family does anything she doesn’t like then she stops him from visiting). He’s spoke a few times of being hurt by his step father and on one occasion there was a mark. Obviously we have been monitoring it and today he was dropped off for the whole of the holidays (this is the first time this has happened and it’s because she claims she can’t cope with him). He has told us again how his step dad has hurt him only this time things have seemed to have escalated a lot. Obviously something needs to be done. But as the threat of us not being able to see him anymore is there and that my partner is not on the birth certificate (due to no fault of his own) plus the fact we don’t know where she lives as she’s always moving and she has changed her name recently we are unsure on what steps to take and are looking for any advice you may have? Thank you x
