Hi there was wondering if I could have a PP please?
I have an 18month old daughter who is absolutely amazing, but me and her dad worry about her speech we aren’t sure if she is at the right stage, I know every child is different and grow and develop at their own pace but just a worry. She can say shoes, juice toys trees and some other words she also try’s to say thank you and love you but not clear enough to make out properly. I’m just looking for some other mummies experiences before I make an appointment with the health visitor.

At 18 months my son didnt say anything really apart from mum and dad now hes 2 in a week n only just really started saying loads. Where as my daughter was talking in sentences at 11 months xx
At 18months a dozen words is expected. Some will say more, some will say less. My 20 month old says around 30 words now although not all clear but you get the gist whereas his almost 4 year old brother has only in the last 8 months started saying words and starting to make sentences. I’d say your daughter is developing as she should and come her 2 year check if you feel she’s not progressed then speak with your health visitor about it
