I was wandering if anyone could give me any advice about Money? My partner and I both work full time and I know that when I go on Maternity leave my wages will go from £1300 a month to just £500 a month. I know everyone’s entitled to child benefit which I think is £20 a week for first child, but would I be entitled to anything else during the 37 weeks I’m on Maternity? Xx

Are u not getting mat pay through work? If not then unfortunately it’s just child benefit your get. You can try for child tax but earnings have to be quite low I think to get that
Depending on earnings you may be entitled to tax credits after the child is born, I don’t think you can apply for much before..
No you wouldn’t, I’m in the same position and don’t get anything else other than child benefit 🙂
