I’m so conflicted over the ‘cry it out’ method.
My son is 8 1/2 months doesn’t settle unless he is feeding on me, or being rocked, he wakes 3/4 times a night to latch on to the breast but feeds for a couple of minutes to comfort himself then he’s straight back to sleep! He will only sleep in his cot for an hour at the most.
I’ve even fed him in bed until he falls asleep, but he will be awake within 1/2 hour.
Some reports suggest it’s detrimental to Baby for them to cry it out where as other reports say it’s ok and ends up being less stressful to parent and baby!
I’m just looking for some advice.
I realise some parents feel strongly about not letting a baby cry it out and I’m not looking for a mass debate – I am merely asking what has worked with your restless babies?
He also does not have a dummy so I am his only comfort.
