Is anyone able to put my mind at rest please,
So I had a baby 4 weeks ago I’m getting esa and in the support group which is the high amount as unable to work due to health reasons , so this is where I’m confused I applied for child benefit and that was awarded to me. But I’ve been told now there have stopped child tax but you have to claim for Universal Credit? Will my money stay the same plus extra for my child ? I’m worried sick as I know I can be with out money for 6 weeks

You will get exactly the same amount for your child but your money may change slightly as they may assess you again once you go on uc. You also won’t be without money completely they can give you an advance of half your benefit to last the 6 weeks but you need to pay it back
On universal credit you get 250 per child per month.
