Looking for some advice from anyone that has gone through this I have a 18 mth old daughter, her father has never met her his choice denied to all his family she is his yet refused a dna tried to force me to abort said he would rather kill himself than have her and that she is a cancer that should be cut out of me plus lots worse now his family have found out about her this is when he denied she is his they are trying to force contact but want it all on their grounds an unsupervised which I’m not happy to do to start with as I don’t know any of them nor does my daughter the father at present still doesn’t want to know I’m lead to believe I’m just wondering what is deemed reasonable to offer for supervised contact and for how long iv offered them to my house when ever they want but it’s not good enough and there threatening me with court I’m worried sick I’ll have to just hand my baby over to them for access her dad lives with one of the relatives an I’m worried what he will be like around her as he’s not trustworthy sorry for long post x

  • They should accept that your daughter doesn’t know them at all coz they never met yur daughter so the grandparents should accept your way of contact if they don’t like what you have said then let them take yu to court as the father hasn’t had anything to do with yur daughter the judge would take that into account even with the grandparents too. As it could coz emotional stress for your duaghter. So yu are right what yu have said. Let them threat yu end of day it yur daughter

  • I’m sure in the uk that family have no legal rights so nothing they can do. If you’re offering supervised visitors then you’re doing your best. Stick with that and if they don’t like it, tough
