Morning, please may I have a private post. Please make sure my name is not on the post.
I need some advice on tax credits. I originally applied for working tax credits and child tax credits as I needed the help due to my partner being out of work & my income wasn’t enough alone so it was a joint claim but with him earning nothing. In January we separated & he moved out & got a job. Thankfully we sorted our relationship out and he moved back in at the end of June. I am calling the tax credit office today to renew my claim my only massive worry is, due to all the stress I had at the time, I didn’t inform them of changes to the claim, what implications will this have? I’m worried ill get into some sort of trouble. This is purely an innocent mistake and not done to my benefit, the changes to the claim also include my hours and wages going down so id of benefitted more from informing them if that makes sense? Just a bit of advice as to what they will say as I’m panicking
