Hi Ladies I’m really needing some views on my situation with my baby’s dad regarding contact. It’s a bit long winded. He walked out minutes after telling him I was pregnant, baby was born at 32 weeks and on life support still no contact not even to ask how he was. He’s not on birth certificate but pays maintenance through CMS. He got in touch out of the blue 6 weeks ago baby is now 7 Months and I was over the moon for my son that he could have his daddy around. Quickly became clear he wanted me also so I agreed to take it easy after believing he’d changed from the selfish man he was. Become obvious over Xmas he hadn’t. Threatened to leave Xmas day night when I simply asked why I was still blocked on FB, losing his patience with baby like he was in the way, didnt wanna get involved with him at all then acting a doting dad in front of his or my mum like he was only involved so his image wasn’t ruined he’s always cared more how he looks to outside world. I wanted to re register birth for him to be on there and was even prepared to change his surname, asked him to take the paperwork to register office & make an appt on his way when meeting friends for all day and nighter and said he wouldn’t have time this was 10am it was on his way. Final straw was new years eve morning I was very poorly with pneumonia & flu crying to him cos I couldn’t even lift my head off the sofa & just left me there with the baby to spend time with his mum and then went out to a party to celebrate with his brother’s wife’s family knowing my mum was away and not around to help & many other things. I ended things between us but I don’t no what to do for the best when it comes to the baby
