So I’m currently sitting in hospital 2 days after major bowel surgery (I have Crohns Disease). My partner and dad to our 19 month old calls me and says he’s really struggling because she won’t go to sleep. She has chicken pox and a temperature; I have literally explained everything he should do but he is making me feel helpless and upset actually that I’m unable to do anything at all while he’s sat there saying he’s going to walk out the front door any minute, leaving our daughter behind!… advice would be great at this point!!! Tia x

  1. He is being incredibly selfish but on the other hand, he’s probably struggling and he’s taking it out on you.. You need to tell him to get a grip and to take five minutes to clear his head! Then restart the battle๐Ÿ™ˆ He won’t leave her. He knows he can’t leave her and I’m sure everything he’s saying is just out of anger, so try and calm him so he can calm your daughter! Try to not get agitated with him ( easier said that done๐Ÿ˜‚) and reassure him!

Then when you’re better and get to go home, give him a slap!!๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜‚ hope you get better soon and I hope for a fast recovery!!๐Ÿ˜˜ x

  2. What a shame. Sounds like your all going through a rough time at the moment. Are use close to me maybe I could help out somehow. It’s really hard looking after a kid when you realise someone who usually does it all the time isn’t there. Maybe in future he will realise how much you do. Hope your ok with a speedy recovery and let me know if there’s anything I can do if ur near me ๐Ÿ˜Šxx

  3. His stressed and worried not only has he got a poorly little one he has a wife who he can’t be with but he is also a man let’s not forget how they cant handle the stress nor multitask. I’m sure he won’t walk out and I’m sure he will cope he is wrong for making u feel like this considering your situation but again not all men think like us I’m sure he will feel bad and apologies once he had chance to gather himself I would be as angry and upset as you would be maybe give a relative a call see if someone can pop round give him hand. All babies want mum when they poorly such a shame he not able to cope and give you the rest you clearly need. Hope he can sort himself out and I hope u heal quickly x

  4. Tell him to grow a pair! There is absolutely no reason for him to worry you over things like that. I understand how helpless, worried and totally worthless you feel right now. I suffer from IBD also ( U.C) and was hospitalised for 15 days. I remember very well how helpless you feel, if his hearts in the right place he will work it out, not stress you out. My partner struggled a little but got there in the end with 2 kids. He will realise how much you do at home and how under appreciated you are. A little full on parenting won’t kill him! Xx

  5. He is probly feeling helpless as well babe but don’t feel bad have you got anyone who can poo round and give him a hand for a few hours babes or has he got a friend who would lend him a hand xxx

  6. wee all get a moment were wee could walk out.. would he do it tho?? he’s prob just having a moment worring about u and then the little one not settling prob wants her mama.. can u FaceTime them or something mayb xx hope u heal asap xx
