My son turned 2 in August,, we started potty training him as he was asking for potty and showing signs! Straight away he took to having a wee on potty and telling us when he needs one, few accidents but nothing major , but he has never poo’d in the potty if he is sat on the potty and needs a poo he starts saying no no and gets up , he doesn’t particularly get upset but clearly doesn’t want to do it, and goes off and does it in his pants and then carries on playing 🙄 we have tried showing him and putting the dirty pats in potty saying poo in here! Nursery have now said it may be worth putting a nappy back in but I don’t want to take a step back when he has taken to having a wee in potty really well, we are going to try a reward chart next but has any one else been in this situation and found something that worked? Just want to try everything before resorting back to nappies , I know he is still young but if he has a nappy on and needs a wee he gets a bit stressed as he know nows he should do thT in potty!
