Private please – my partner & I have decided to split due to him being a gambling addict & losing all our money. He wants to wait till his wages go in this week then he’s gonna take them & leave. That leaves me with no money until the end of the month & £1017 when I get paid the 31st. All my bills in total come too £900.. Is there anything I can claim? Obviously I’ve gotta ring tax credits & change it to a single claim but I can’t do that till hes gone can i? I’m unsure what to do as online it says universal credit? Not tax credits? So confused. Anyone been through the same? X

Depends on how many kids you have if it’s 2 or less and you’re area has rolled over to Universal Credit you’ll be switched to that.
He can’t leave you with nothing, well he can but will he really honestly do that? 😡 xx
You’ll get child tax and maybe working tax. Also child benefit x
