9 Year Old Wants To Kill Himself

Its 2020 and i’m reading a newspaper article about a beautiful nine year old boy who wants to kill himself.

Yes you read thst right a 9 year old wants to end his life. Shocking right?

At 9 years old he should be playing with his friends, learning interesting things in school, using his imagnation and most importantly being happy and carefree, no worries or stress.

Instead he wants to die because he can no longer cope with the pain of being bullied daily all because he has dwarfism.

What kind of world do we live in where our children look at another child and feel it’s ok to ridicule and humiliate a child for being ‘different’.

Its 2020 surely our children should know that just because a child may have a different colour skin, be shortere, taller, speak differently, orf have a different way of doing things doesn’t mean they are odd or strange as every man, woman and child is unique, differnet in their own special way, my god the world would be a very boring place if we were all the same.

Growing up I was always taught “if you have nothing nice to say don’t say anything at all”, we need to bring that back!!!

If our children are unsure of another child it’s up to us as parents to introduce them and educate them about disabilities, race, religion and differences.

Most of all please,please,please teach our children to be kind. Always.
