Can I get a ppp? Anybody know how long child maintenance service will chase an absent parent for before proceeding with next steps? I had a mutual arrangement with my ex but it’s failed. Ex seems to think he can pay what he wants and when he feels it convenient to do so. I contacted child maintenance options almost 6 weeks ago who put me through to child maintenance service with a reference number. Gave them all the details they needed for my ex. I was told I would receive a welcome pack and haven’t when I chased this up they said it had been sent out. Ive not received a payment from my ex for 2 weeks now and quite frankly I’m really not sure what to do. He has chosen not to see his child because I raised some safe guarding issues with him in which he became verbally abusive and threatening to me. I notified the police and social services myself and explained the situation and am currently receiving support from a social worker.
