Can I have a post please? I come in to hospital on Monday for my 20 week scan as planned and on the scan they found that my cervix was open and waters bulging through, I had an internal to confirm this. I haven’t been having any pains or symptoms of labour what so ever, I didn’t have a clue about any of it Untill I come for my scan, and the doctors have told me that if my baby is born now he won’t survive as he is too small and underdeveloped, I’m on strict bedrest. I have a scan this afternoon and if alls ok and I still show no signs of labour I can go home today, again on strict bedrest, they said if I make it to 23 weeks they will give me steroid injections and if baby is born after 24 weeks they will help him when he is born, they ideally want me to go as long as I can but they said they hoping for 26 weeks+ as then they can slow my labour down. Has anybody else had this happen to them and they gone past 26 weeks or longer or their baby been born at 24 weeks + and been ok? I’m so worried, this is my 5 pregnancy 3 child xx
