Can I have a post please? My nan has recently been diagnosed with emphysema and her cough is getting worse although she is well within herself (still going for walks every day, etc). I’m trying to get my head around it all as she really is like a second Mum to me and I’m really struggling to cope with the thought that this is inevitably going to get worse and that she is going to suffer and I’m obsessing over getting upset about her not being here anymore but then I see mixed reviews about life expectancy (anything from 2 to 20 years). I don’t really know what I’m looking for here apart from some advice on how to stop getting so upset because this is honestly taking over my every thought and it’s been over a year now and I’m struggling so much 😞 Thank you x
