Can I have a post please!! (Sorry it’s a long one) A very tired and stressed mummy hoping someone has had similar experiences!
So I’m 38 weeks with my 2nd! Monday night I started getting contraction pains (left it for the night as I’ve suffered with braxton hicks) Tuesday afternoon I went to hospital and they told me I was 2 cm dilated but my cervix hadn’t dropped! After 4 hours and no progress they sent me home and told me to wait until the contractions are stronger or my waters break, that night I lost my bloody show/plug (not sure of the right term) since then the contractions have been the same, not getting stronger, however they are strong enough to keep me awake, the pain is also in my back which I feel is worse! Painkillers and warm baths are not helping at all! I spoke to my midwife yesterday and she wasn’t at all interested! I’ve now gone 4 nights with absolutely 0 sleep, I have an 18month old to look after aswell whilst my partner is at work, so I’m so worried I’m not alert enough for her safety!
I’m not looking for advice on hurrying the labour on as I know he will come when he is ready, but I’m hoping someone has some advice on how I can possibly get some sleep with these pains! Any advice is very much appreciatedđź’–
