  • They will pretty much say these things happen. If she’s acting strange, falling over etc uncharacteristically drowsy (the usually bump their heads close to nap time for some reason so it’s difficult to judge) any liquid from ears or sickness (more than twice I believe) that’s when to take her in, you can call 111 they will give you better advice though xx

  • They used to say dont let them go to sleep soon after a head injury but now they say its ok to but try and wake them after day 30mins.. if theyre struggling to wake they may need to see a doctor. My daughter is always looking like this!

  • Don’t put ice on a bloody head injury 🙄🙈 that’s the old way to do it , someone who works wishing the first aid industry. You don’t do that anymore.

  • This was my son after falling into a door frame. I rung an ambulance as it swelled more than this within seconds! He had a dip in his head aswell. Paramedics checked him over and said he is fine to stay home as obs were fine but if he fell down the stairs he would have been taken in. I was told to keep eye on him if I have any concerns then go miu or a&e I was at miu a for couple days after as the swelling made his eye and nose look funny. This happened in December it’s now may he’s still got a very faint mark and not had anything like this since

  • My little girl did this last month and the first aider in the shopping centre applied a tea towel of ice onto it. We went to a and e and they said if she vomits or complains of tummy ache or dizziness to come back x

  • Get some butter or margarine over it asap. We swear by with with my son. Helps with bruising and swelling. Put a thick coating all over where it has marked.
