Can I have a PPP ..
I don’t usually write on these things and scroll through but right now I am absolutely stuck and need impartial advice.
Myself and my partner have 2 children together. Youngest being nearly 1. Been on the pill (mini one) since having youngest and never missed a day, had no problems.
Took a test a couple of weeks ago that was very faintly positive, I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me and it was just a shadow so ignored it and decided to retest in a week to see if it’s more distinctive.
I came on my ‘period’ a weekish later. Bright red, 4/5 days long, medium, no pain no clots, so I put it down to either my eyes playing tricks the week before as it was pretty normal.
Something didn’t feel right the other day so I picked up another test, and it was definitely a faint positive. Darker than the one before, but still after 2 weeks not as dark as I would expect? And I had dark positives very early on with both my other children.
So now I’m stuck wondering if I’m actually pregnant even though I had a bleed last week, or was it actually a miscarriage and my hormones haven’t dropped for the tests yet?
Also myself and my partner are not really in a position to be having another baby just yet, and if I am I would be so scared to tell him – I know it sounds daft.
I haven’t stopped taking my pill – I’ve just carried on as normal – do I just wait to see if I miss the next bleed? Or should I take another test in a week or so?
Really sorry for the long post, I’ve just kept this in for a while.
