Can I have a ppp I really need some advice well I’m fuming with my Mil my husband arranged for her to have our 3 children over night so we can go out together and we assumed it would be over night but she has said she will have them at ours and leave when we get back now problem is that I or my husband when wet get back home won’t be in a fit state to look after them when we get back and she has had then over night together once which didn’t go well as my son had not been away from me before for more than a few hours and at that time wasn’t sleeping through the night which he now is so she won’t have him over night but she will have my sil children over night fair enough they have slept through the night from about 6 weeks old but am I right to be anoyed this? It is always one way for us and another for her daughter which I don’t think is fair and I have no one else to ask to have them over night any advice about what to do about it would be appreciated sorry for the long post

  • be thankful for the chance of getting a night out at all and if the hubby’s mom won’t take the kids overnight then don’t get so pissed up that you’re in no fit state to look after your own children when you get home you can’t force the grandparents to have your kids just so you can get pissed up and lay about in bed all the next day

  • Your fuming with your mother in law because she won’t look after YOUR children over night? Perhaps your sister in laws children are better behaved than yours? U have no right at all to b angry with her you should just be greatful she’s going to have them at all.

  • I understand ur annoyed because u thought she was having them over night so u thought u and ur husband could proberly have some drinks and let ur hair down.. and now its changed but atleast ur still going out.. maybe ask her to put them to bed so wen ur back they are already in bed asleep? Then u can do what ever and if thats not a option then just dont have to much to drink so u can still funtion if anything happens xx

  • Probably shouldn’t have assumed, maybe some better planning would help the situation…plus a night out is better than nothing x

  • I agree with u! My family is the same… Well I don’t even get one day without them! Not fair really if she has the others over night x

  • At least your getting the chance to go out, do something that doesn’t involve alcohol?
