Can I have a ppp?

Me and my mother have had a very very strained relationship for the past 10years since I caught her cheating with multiple men and decided to let me dad know, to which he left her and she told me I was the reason she did it (part of the reason for our strained relationship), when I was 18 I was told I would never have children of my own due to a medical condition, to which my “mother” replied “you don’t want kids, it’s not all it’s cracked up to be”
A few weeks ago I gave birth to my first children and I have never been so in love. However, since the hospital… my mother has been saying things like “come to mummy” or “mummy will make it all better” I told her to stop in the hospital as it happened twice, she told me to shut up, this has kept going on now to the point I lost my patients with her a few days ago and now I’m at breaking point. Any advice on how to handle this situation as I mentioned we don’t have a good relationship so I am trying my best to keep a level head but where my daughter is concerned I refuse to take any shit.

thank you xx

  • I’d be telling her that if she thinks having kids wasn’t all its cracked up to be why would she want to take over with yours. I’d also be telling her she either stops or stays away she’s your daughter and only you are here mummy xx

  • Now it involves more than your mother and yourself. It involves a child. You have to decide if you want your mother to be part of your daughters life. If you choose to allow her to be you have to let go of the past.
