Can I have a private please?
Me and my son’s dad are together, but not. We don’t live together, see eachother often etc. I’ve asked him to contribute towards his son every week as money is tight and he is in a very well paid job.
From using the Child Maintenance Caluculator it says my son is entitled to between 92 and 103 a week. (A lot I know. Never would ask for that!) He is on over 850 gross a week. And even after tax he has just under 3000 a month.
He has said £20 a month. I’ve said that wouldn’t even cover nappies for the month. Am I being unreasonable? A child isn’t about money,but surely it takes two to make a baby so why only one to pay for him?! (Do not receive anything but child benefit for said child)
