Can I have a private post please….any tips on stopping my 19month old girl from hitting. She doesn’t seem to hit anyone but me, her dad and her auntie (she has her whilst I’m at work 10-3 mon-fri) so seems to be only those close to her. I’ve tried being firm saying no, putting her in time out, taking her toys away etc. I’ve tried coming down on her level saying ow! that hurts mummy, pretending to cry. We don’t hit each other or even play hit each other, so I’m not to sure where she’s picked it up from. I know most children go through this stage, but she is starting to really hurt me. She pinches really hard and leaves bruises, kicks me and full on slaps me around the face and finds it funny. The rest of the time she is such a funny lovely girl. She can be so caring and loving sometimes it’s like two different children. I love her with all my heart but this hitting has really got to stop. I’m putting her in nursery soon and don’t want it happening there….sorry for long post Lol! Any tips would be appreciated.
