Can I have a private post please… I am 26 weeks pregnant with my first baby. The pregnancy was unplanned as I’ve had alot of gynae problems I never thought I could conceive but took the pill daily as precaution. I work full time and My now ex partner also works full time away for alot of the time. When I found out I was pregnant he told me to get rid of the baby as the time wasn’t right. We lived in a 1 bed flat and was looking to buy a house. I couldn’t get rid of the baby we did have a beautiful relationship. He suggested I get my own place and he bought his own house. We tried to make it work, living separate but he spent more time going on lads holidays and partying and using me when he had nobody else to go to type of thing. So I chose to end the relationship. It’s been so hard I’ve moved back to my home town… and got myself a small 3 bed for me and baby. He wants to be part of the babies life, but didn’t seem very interested in trying to make things work as a family. I’ve got family support as he has been quite bluntly horrible about the whole situation from the word pregnant. I feel like my emotions are up and down daily. It’s lonely living on my own. He is having parties and living his life like I never even mattered to him. I’m just glad he will be involved in babies life and I have encourage him to attend all scan appts and he will be at the birth for the sake of our son. He hasn’t bought anything for the baby yet… I know there’s time but I’ve bought it all myself which again is fine I can stand on my own two feet. He’s 31 and I’m 22 just seems I’m being the adult and he’s having the life of Reilly, just wished things could of been different for our son, but I couldn’t stay with him and feel the way I did. I just want to know how you single mummies cope alone? Being pregnant and single has been a rollercoaster and moving house and area. Xx
