can i have a private post please?
I have a three and a half year old son from a previous relationship but his father has been absent since he was one (i gave him every chance but he just isnt interested in seeing his son now he has a new family) I have been with my current partner since my son was 11 months old. he has been there for his first steps first words etc. although we have explained the truth to him my son since is insistant on calling my partner dad. my question is as his biological father is absent and my son and partner have such a strong bond, what would happen to my son if something bad was to happen to me? would they take my son to his biological father or keep him with my partner? no bashing please

The only way to assure he doesn’t go to is biological father is for him to give up his rights and your partner adopt him. X
As long as his father is on he birth certificate he would go to him unless you have a will stating otherwise x
