Can I have a private post please.
I live in Romford Essex, my tenancy agreement is up for renewal however as I don’t work now (have a 1 year old and due in 2 months) me and my partner no longer meet the required salary to be considered to stay in the property our combined salary needs to be 34k. It’s only 17k. We have always paid our rent on time and had no problems. I’ve even rang up other estate agents and they’ve said the same. Basically what can I do as the tenancy agreement ends in September. Do I just become homeless as can’t get a property to let if anyone can give me some advice on any options possible that would be great

Can I have a reply back on my post. They’ve said to continue the tenancy agreement we have to do the credit checks again hence why I’ve told them about the change in income. I’m not on maternity leave so don’t get any maternity pay or allowance. Literally my income is nothing. Just my partner works full time and we get child tax credit and benefit. And if we apply for housing benefit not sure if we’re entitled to it no one in the area accepts it
That’s where I live, well near there lol. Your estate agent don’t need to know, they will just renew for you if you tell them you want to renew. If you can’t afford it then maybe you will get some housing benefit. Also their probably just saying they’ll do the credit checks to get more money out of you. What estate agents is it? X

Surely you can carry on the lease? The estate agent doesn’t need to know if there are in circumstances x
Should it not turn in to a rolling contract
Contact you local council and they can offer you better advice
Doesn’t your salary count even if your on maternity leave?
