Can I have a private post please..
I’m planning on leaving my violent husband and my friend has offered me a place to stay half way across the country..she lives in a very small place so would only be suitable for a short period of time..she has been a rock to me through all this and supported me so much even through mental health and I will need her in going support as really struggling with life right now..
my question is if she was to get a larger place that would accommodate 2 family’s being hers and her daughter and me an my children would housing benefit pay for my half of the rent if I was a sub let?
It would be great if we could get a 4 bedroom private rent between us and we would have 2 bedrooms each to accommodate us all and share the cost because she does work and know she struggles for money so us sharing would be a win win situation with half the rent an bills paid and id have her around every day for support but I don’t know what the laws would be on claiming housing benefit?
