Can I have a private post please?
My 1 year old daughter 10 weeks prem. she was attending a private nursery over term time as I am a student.. she had been taken on an outing (which I agreed too) in the morning. I attend college assuming my Child was being looked after. My mum collected her at end of day as had a night class. When my mum picked her up she had a huge gash and graze on her forehead. None my self nor any of her emergency contacts had been contacted. I then had to contact nursery myself to find out exactly what had happened to my daughter to be told in their words… “we set her free from the pushchair and she was running with friends (my daughter had only just begun walking few weeks before incident) when she had fallen. She didn’t put her hands out to save her self. She did cry a little but she seemed fine. We didn’t want to call as we knew you were attending college.” Regardless of my college I’d have liked to have been informed especially With this being a head injury I’d have expected to be contacted. Has any other mum been in a situation of such horrific events with their child is I need advice as to what todo or can do so other mums don’t go through same experience!?
