Can I have a private post please??

Ok so I’m 18& a single parent, but me and my little boys Dad are on good terms, get on as friends for the sake of our son, I get all the usual benefits, income support etc, I have a 2 bedroomed flat and receive housing benefits; I’m Just wondering if me and my sons dad ever got back together and he decided to then move in with me and our son, if I told the housing agency/council would I have to pay my own rent? He’s on an apprenticeship, only 18&gets roughly £120 a week..
thankyou xx

  • Theres an online calculator called “entitledto”
You fill in yours and his informtaion on income etc and itll tell you how much youll get in tax credits etc try it both ways round as you being the main person claiming and him being the main person as he should be entitled to working tax credits as well. The calculator is pretty accurate though so you Can make an informed decision
