Can I have a private post please?
Right I’ll try keep this short, basically my ex partner is taking me to court for 50/50 custody of our baby. He has supervised contact because when we was together he used to always shout/ swear/ throw things/ never pay attention to our baby. He was always on his phone and left me to do literally everything, he never helped or even tried to make a bond with the baby. He genuinely couldn’t look after him at all, he even threatened to abduct our child from me, so I said until he can look after him properly and drop those god awful habits of the way he treats the baby he will have supervised visits. There’s so much to this that I can’t write it out or I’ll be here for weeks!
So I took our lo to see him and he was so horrible saying things like ‘daddy’s gonna get you soon’ ‘don’t worry daddy will have you back’ ‘are you coming to be with daddy soon?’
He never cared when we was together, he done everything he could to get out of daddy duties, and he’s not once had him on him own. He’s saying that he has letters or recommendations of how much of a good dad he is etc, and it’s worrying me sick.
I’ve been to see a solicitor for legal advise etc, but I just want to know what I can do to ensure the safety of my baby? Will he be awarded 50/50 custody? Can I apply for a residency order? What do I need to know about all of this?? Is there anything I can do?? Please help a very stressed and tired mummy out 😔😔
P.s. I don’t want to stop contact I want them both to have a relationship, but I also need to make sure my lo is safe! Tia x
