Can I have a private post please. This is my third night with no sleep 😴 am I over reacting? My 12 year old daughter is in first year at high school, last month when we where on holiday, her period started we had previously discussed all the changes in her body and she talks freely to me, it was a light period and passed fairly quickly we even joked about how many different pads we tried, to find one she was comfortable with. Fast forward to Monday of this week a new challenge her first school day with the dreaded red mist and it didn’t go as planned, her bag well stocked with wipes and pads and a pep talk in the morning off she went, I really thought she had this in the bag. At ten thirty her first break she called me very upset and distressed she had bled though her towel pants tights and skirt she was embarrassed uncomfortable and visibly upset. I told her to go straight to the school office and that I would call ahead so she would not have to discuss this in an open area around other students. The office staff where very sensitive to the matter and told her to go see her pupil support teacher to get a slip so she could come home they immediately called me back and ask me to come pick her up. When I arrived at the school my daughter was not there I asked office staff where she was ? she stated “she has not came back maybe she has gone to her next class” I then received a phone call from my daughter the pupil SUPPORT teacher had told her to dry her eyes go wash her face and get back to class also adding “this happens every month deal with it “ 😤 I feel my daughter was trying to deal with it was a very heavy period. I’m really angry at this “female” pupil support teacher my daughter has now been off school for 3days till this period has settled down she is not sleeping and is anxious about going to school, should I take this matter further as it’s really affected my daughter.
