Can I have a private post please? We have a 7 week old baby and I ended up in hospital for 8 days due to c section complications. My partner really stepped up and took great care of our baby and me and stayed with me all day and night the entire time. On the morning I was coming out of hospital he took her to pick up his 13 year old son. He casually mentioned that he left her in the car with his son while he went into shop for few minutes. She was out of car seat and he left his son bottle feeding her. My partner doesn’t think it is a big deal but I was really concerned about it as his son has no experience with babies, has only held her a few times and was first time feeding her. When I told my partner I wasn’t happy about this and didn’t want her left with him he got really angry with me and basically said I have no trust in him and she is his baby too and will make his own judgements when she is with him. Feeling really hurt he has disrespected my concerns and also he has been so angry that he has not spoken to me for 5 days now. I have still been ill and recovering from surgery and feel very hurt that he is so angry that he hasn’t even asked how I am or showed any concern for me. Do you think his behaviour is justified and maybe I over reacted about baby being left with 13 year old?
